Located 50 metres from the beach on Holbox Island, this colourful hostel offers a garden with hammocks and a roof terrace overlooking the island. The spacious rooms feature free Wi-Fi and en suite bathrooms.

The modern Tribu Hostel offers shared dormitories and private rooms, with bright décor and mosquito nets. Bed linen is included and towels can be rented.

The Tribu has a communal kitchen and BBQ facilities. You can enjoy kite surfing lessons, movie nights and jam sessions in the bar. Staff can also provide maps and information about the island.

Hostel Tribu is situated just 3 blocks from the centre of Holbox’s main fishing village. The surrounding Yalahau Lagoon is an ideal place to spot dolphins and rare birds.

Just wondering how much it would cost to get a shuttle from cancun airport to your hostel?

Hi! We have a shared shuttle service from Cancun airport to Chiquila for $700.- per person. Then you will need to take the Ferry to arrive to Holbox ($200.- per person not included)

We provide you fresh, clean sheets for your bed and blankets if needed... most of the time you would not need them though, because of the Caribbean weather :P

What would you highlight about Tribu Hostel
One of the more fun hostels I've been to!
They offer so many free activities, it does feel like the hostel is really centered around making social interactions with other guests. The kitchen is fully equipped and the location was right off the beach. The lockers are HUGE and they include a charging station which allows for you to charge your belongings in peace.
The dorms were quite large, which leads to a noisier room. The toilets could've been cleaner. And the staff, (while being incredibly nice) seemed overwhelmed most of the time; I had to wait 15 min and then come back again later just to ask 1 question about getting to my next destination.

Exceptional
A really lovely, friendly hostel just a minute walk away from the beach. The facilities are great and the staff and volunteers make such an effort to put on a range of fun activities which people actually get involved in. The kitchen is well equipped and the rooms are clean and have big lockers, and have AC at night. The staff are very helpful with offering information and answering questions. Very sociable, but not a party hostel which was nice.

Fun hostel in a great location with poor Wi-Fi.
Location was great. Lockers a good size, activities to do with others were good. Having a bar upstairs and a restaurant was good, v helpful staff.
Limited wifi, had to sit in certain spots (not in the room). Outdoor showers quite often were filled with mosquitos.
